I AM SO SICK OF HEARING THE ELECTION WAS FRAUDULENT

I read with utter dismay this morning that many Republicans are refusing to accept Biden’s electoral college win.

I am a registered Democrat but have voted for Republican candidates for President if the candidates make decisions based on facts. I have strong empathy for others and tend to also vote for candidates that display this quality.

I expected Trump to behave the way he has behaved after his loss as his behavior has been in line with the personality we have all witnessed the last four years. I was also not all shocked when I found out he misled the country about the severity of Covid. I knew few of his supporters would leave him due to his downplaying Covid’s impact.

I think just enough of Trump supporters decided not to vote for Trump when he told the world “ If I can recover from Covid, anybody can” during a time when Covid related deaths in America were skyrocketing and many Americans, including staunch Trump supporters, were losing their loved ones to this devastating virus, and when Trump seemed oblivious to the impact of not wearing a mask.

I believe this was the defining moment when just enough Trump supporters realized their President may not be as concerned about the American people as they might have once thought, and decided to turn their backs on him.

So my advice to the Republic politicians who refuse to acknowledge Joe Biden’s win. Take a few minutes to think hard about why Trump lost the election.
